Submitting a bot

The submission of your bot will consist of these things:

  1. Your name(s), school, year in school, and major.
  2. A (Unix-valid) name for your bot.
  3. A description of your bot, including a rough overview of how it thinks.
  4. Specific credit for any 3rd-party research, instruction, or code. Give URLs and specify where in your source code it appears, if approriate.
  5. The source code for your bot. This should be your NetBeans project bundled up into one archive. Make sure to also include your startme.sh script for running the bot. Acceptable archive formats are .zip, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, and .7z.

Prepare all of this in an email, attach your source code archive, and send it to submissions@indianapokerbot.com. Write "IPPC Submission" somewhere in the subject to make sure that it gets filtered properly. Two things to keep in mind:

  1. There is a limit of (approximately) 10MB on the attachment. If you need to send larger files, contact me and we'll arrange an FTP transfer.
  2. Various "dangerous" filetypes may be blocked from being sent as attachments. Since you only need to send source code, don't include compiled binaries such as your JAR or .class files.
